Impressive Basement Systems is a new approach to finishing a basement that utilizes conventional building methods. Our system follows all of the accepted building practices just as if it were a typical drywall installation. The only difference is that we use a 1 inch thick high density fiberglass wall board covered with an acoustical wall fabric, in lieu of the drywall.

The system begins with standard steel stud framing that conforms to accepted building practices, such as studs on 16 inch centers and so forth. The doors are hung on the steel stud framing using conventional methods.

The ceiling is an Armstrong suspended ceiling accept­able for both residential and commercial applications.

The electrical work is installed per code as in any typical residential or commercial application with conventional rough and final inspections performed with no unusual steps required as may be the case with other systems.

The acoustical wall panels are attached to the metal studs with small PVC intermediate strips the allows the panels to be removed in order to access the foundation wall.

The base boards and casings are conventional trim of the customers choosing.
